Hi All,
Apple have officially invited developers to start submitting their apps to the AppStore to have the reviewed in time grand opening of the iPad App Store on the 3rd April.
If you want to get your app ready for the launch make sure you submit your app to Apple by the 5pm (PDT) on the 27th March or you will miss the launch date.
Here are the basic rules to ensure your app is ready for launch day.
- Build and test your app using the iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta 5. You will not be able to submit your app if you use an earlier version of the Beta.
- Submit your app by 5pm (PDT) Saturday 27th March.
- If your app is selected for inital review you will recieve an email with more information about the final review.
So get testing if you want to hit the launch day, only 5 days to go.
*NOTE* Make sure you submit your app early as you will probably only have access to the simulator, which will mean you won’t be able to hardware test, so prepare to fix bugs that may appear on the iPad version.

Doodle Jump makes me want to poke things in my eyes, scream, shout, stamp my feet and cry like a baby – none of which I can do during the game play because if I did, it would almost certainly cause me to fall off my bouncy green platform and die.
I love it!!
For the record, I’m not some sort of sadistic weirdo who gets a kick out of feeling semi-suicidal because of a jumping hand drawn doodle.
But for anyone not familiar with Doodle Jump, it’s a recent Lima Sky LLC game for iPhone, downloadable from the Apple App Store for the tiny sum of 59p (or 99 cents if you’re on the other side of the Atlantic)! The game makes use of the iPhone’s accelerometer – so game play is controlled by the movement of the phone. The concept is simple. You are the little doodle guy and you are continually jumping upwards. You just have to make sure that after each jump you land safely on a platform of some sort. The objective is to get as high up as possible. The higher you get, the higher your score. Read More
Hi All,
I was wondering today, everything you think of there seems to be an app for it whether it is from general health guidance to completely useless random stuff.
What apps are still yet to be made?
If you could have a perfect app for something what would it be and what would it do?
Maybe there is already an app out there that does what you want but just does it badly and there isn’t anything else.
Leave a comment so we can see what the App world is currently missing and you never know, mention it on here and someone may even decide to create it and submit it
So time to get the thinking caps on
Matt

Hi all,
I thought I would share my current top 6 favourite free apps with you all including some information about each app. Clicking the name below will take you straight to the app store where you can download the app for free.
- Twitterrific – This is a awesome little app that allows you to monitor all of your tweets including the tweets of the people you follow. The app has a nice sleak interface which is very fast and easy to use. Definitely a recommendation for those twitter lovers out there.
- Zynga Live Poker – For those that have played Zynga’s Texas Hold ‘em poker on Facebook and enjoyed it, will love this even more. The iPhone version has had a nice graphical revamp compared to the Facebook version and plays extremely well. The app also links in with your Facebook account so you can challenge you friends and even post your achievements. Defo worth a look, even if you’ve never played the Facebook version.
- Numberstore – Now this app is a godsend to all those people who get charged for phoning freephone numbers from their mobile. With this app, all you do is enter your 0800, 0808 or 0500 number and it will convert it into a standard UK land line number (so UK users only I’m afraid). Because you are now phoning a UK land line number, the call is included in your free minutes (or if you have no free minutes, then you are charged at the standard land line number rate). Definitely and essential download even if you rarely phone free phone numbers. You’ll be happy you’ve got for that one time you do
- Shazam – For those moments when you are listening to your radio and a song comes on but you can’t remember the name and you know you’re going to spend the next 10 hours trying to remember, well no more with this app. With Shazam, all you need to do is tell the app to listen to the music for 10 seconds and like magic, you are given the artist, song name, album and even get a link to buy the song through iTunes. No more sleepless nights just because you can’t remember the song name or who it was by. It is also good for songs you’ve never heard of too by the way. Read More
